Welcome to Bangladesh Association of Phoenix (BAP)

Bangladesh Association of Phoenix (BAP) is a non-profit organization representing the Bangladeshi community in the Valley. Established in 1986, BAP has been an integral part of the greater Phoenix community, fostering a sense of unity and connection among Bangladeshis living in the area. Dedicated to portraying the rich tapestry of Bangladesh in the multicultural society of Phoenix, the association organizes a variety of national and cultural programs, social gatherings, and annual picnics to celebrate diverse occasions. These events raise cultural awareness among the Bangladeshi youth and encourage them to participate in culture.

BAP extends its reach beyond cultural events and social activities. In times of emergency, the association actively engages in charitable endeavors, both within the United States of America and back home in Bangladesh. Through its multifaceted initiatives, BAP strives to maintain a close-knit community through sports, volunteer, and educational activities.

Message from BAP President

Dear members of the Bangladesh Association of Phoenix,

I am honored to be the President of such a wonderful organization that was founded approximately 35 years ago by some visionary immigrants from Bangladesh. Our primary objective is to foster a robust and vibrant community for Bangladeshi Americans in the Arizona area. We firmly believe that a united Bangladeshi community is pivotal for growth and strength. We are proud to be a bridge for the settled and newly arrived Bangladeshis in Arizona, maintaining a strong bond with our beloved Bangladesh.

Our organization offers a wide range of services to the Bangladeshi community in Arizona, including sports, humanitarian, educational, business promotion, national holiday observation, cultural enrichment through theater, talent hunt, victim assistance, passport/visa services from the Bangladesh Embassy, and other important services made available throughout the year. We are committed to creating a comfortable and educational environment that helps teach the new generation of Bangladeshi Americans in Arizona about the love for Bangladesh and its culture, language, history, and heritage.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our members for their continued support and dedication to our organization. Together, we can continue to build a resilient and vibrant community for Bangladeshi Americans in Arizona.

Sincerely

Hamid Kazi
President
Bangladesh Association of Phoenix (BAP)
